Speaking From Experience – Part 1
My friend and Cartman’s mom knows from experience the importance of keeping her beloved dog safe and secure. A beautiful Weimaraner pup, my friend and her husband found him frightened, hungry and abandoned. Having just moved to a new neighborhood, the health and well being of Cartman meant that he needed to be contained within the perimeter of their property. My friend has been able to give Cartman the best of both worlds – safety and freedom – by investing in a wireless pet fence.
Agreeing to share Cartman’s story, my friend has graciously taken time to answer a few questions concerning her experience with pet containment systems.
Q. What prompted you to purchase a wireless pet fence system?
We purchased an underground fence because we had initially planned on having our dog in a lot with a chain link fence. However, the chain link fence wasn’t enough. Cartman continued to dig and get out almost on a daily basis. We felt the underground fence was needed to ensure the safety of our pet, as well as, respect for our neighbors. We live in town with several neighbors on each side.
Q. How has it kept Cartman Safe?
It has helped tremendously in keeping our puppy safe and out of trouble. There was one incident where Cartman was able to get out due to the battery in his collar being dead. Of course like most dogs, he went straight for the road and was struck by a passing vehicle. He was okay, however, this only confirmed the need for the underground fence and we now change his battery on a regular basis rather than waiting for it to lose charge.
